Description
Book Synopsis: Release Your Inner Egyptian Scribe! Can you imagine yourself writing on a papyrus like an Ancient Egyptian scribe? In Ancient Egypt, the scribes were the learned, wise ones and were greatly respected. Each of these notebooks is filled with 80 pages that look like ancient papyrus! Now you, too, can write like an Egyptian scribe when you use these notebooks as a diary or travel journal, for class notes, or even to practice writing hieroglyphs yourself.
The pages are unlined, but papyrus paper was created by laying out strips of papyrus, so those strip marks can be a guide for writing evenly. You can write with a normal ballpoint pen, felt-tip, or calligraphy pen - just like any normal paper.
The spine of each volume is a different color for easy reference, and they create a pleasing variety of colors on your bookshelf. The cover of this 80-page 7”x 10” notebook is glossy.
This volume: The God Amun-Ra is No. 11 in the Egyptian Gods & Goddesses Notebooks series.
Amun-Ra (also Amen-Re, Imen-Re) was known as the King of the Gods during the New Kingdom. He was first mentioned as one of eight primordial forces of the Ogdoad. There he was paired with Amunet. When he supplanted Montu in Luxor he was paired with Mut, and Montu was then their son. Montu was then replaced with Khonsu (a god that closely resembled Ptah), and Amun, Mut, and Khonsu became the Theban Triad. Amun was also combined with Ra and Min to become Amun-Ra and Amun-Min, thus bringing together the forces of the different deities and priesthoods.
With its royal purple colors, this is a perfect gift for anyone who loves Egypt, both adults and young people! Read more
