Interestingly enough, Ben has become a spokesperson for Swiss Roots, a campaign set up to help Americans of Swiss origin reconnect with their ancestors and heritage in Switzerland. After researching his own family history that can be traced to Geissbühl, a small farming community in the municipality of Lauperswill (not far from Bern), Roethlisberger and his family finally enjoyed a trip to stunning Switzerland to take in the sights in May, 2006.
